CD Review: Women

How ironic...a band made up of four guys calls their group Women. And they just came out with a self-titled album, Women...

After the first listen you don't really know what to think. Do I like it or not? The guitars are fun: twangy and clanky, and the music itself is a beautiful layered and textured mess. It sounds like it was recorded in your best friends garage, but that also adds to the charm of the album. The CD truly has something for everyone. At times it feels psychedelic, other time the songs sounded like old rock songs or folk music.

Here's one of my favorite tracks off the album, "Black Rice." Enjoy!

Morgan the song isn't there (really it isn't) which is the only disappointing thing in this entire blog. I think you've done a great job, and have a lot of potential as a music blogger. Keep up the good work!
