Another Reason to Love Deer Tick

If you haven't heard, Deer Tick is going to be auctioning their 2009 tour bus ("The Flagship") on eBay to raise money for Pakistan flood Victims.

According to the Government of Pakistan, some 17 million have been affected by the flooding. U.N. Undersecretary-general for humanitarian affairs, John Holmes, has called the floods "unprecedented."

"The situation over there is so critical, but it seems that very few people are aware of it," said Deer Tick frontman John McCauley. "Maybe it's the stigma with that part of the world, I'm not sure. Either way, we feel really strongly that people should be more aware of the situation and hopefully we can help with that."

The auction will be held on eBay and will last for 3 weeks. The eBay page for the auction can be viewed here.

"We're very pleased that Deer Tick has joined that group in advocating on behalf of our flood relief and recovery efforts in Pakistan."
