Now don't take this the wrong way, I love Sam Sparro's "Black & Gold," But there is something about Ellie Goulding that just makes her version sound so much better than the original. There's really no other way to describe it but as a lovely, stripped back cover of Sam Sparro’s in no way (haha oh look, sarcasm) overplayed track.
