It’s no surprise Alan Mcgee has championed this band — Hatcham Social sound like the most classic Creation Records band that never was. Too bad they arrived over 10 years too late … but those who love true, unadulterated indie music will simply love them. Glasvegas might have reached mainstream success with the Jesus & Mary Chain sound, but it’s Hatcham Social who got the tunes the Reid brothers would’ve killed for.
