The Courteeners mix the macho cockiness of Oasis with a sensibility indebted from The Smiths. After becoming one of the success stories of 2008 in the U.K., with a No. 1 debut album already under their belts, they now seem to be focusing all their energies on breaking the U.S. with tour dates in March and April supporting their idol Morrissey.
